Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Short version: Pristine runs entirely on your Mac. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers of its own. We do not collect, store or sell personal data.

What the app accesses, and why

Pristine reads files on your Mac to do its job: caches, logs, temporary files, your Trash, the folders you choose for large-file and duplicate scans, application bundles and their support files, launch agents, browser profile databases (counts only, read from a snapshot copy) and system performance counters. This information is processed in memory on your Mac and shown to you. It never leaves the device.

Access to protected locations (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Full Disk Access, Automation) is governed by macOS. Pristine asks through the standard system prompts, explains what each permission is for, and keeps working with reduced features if you decline.

Data stored on your Mac

Network connections

There are no other connections. Pristine does not use third-party SDKs, crash reporters or analytics.

Children

Pristine is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
